Love's Sweet Cup

My Lord I seek the peace of her love,
It's completeness would me sustain,
I long to drink from her loving sweet cup,
I ask I not search in vain.

Tell me Lord, shall I ever know,
The touch of my love's caress,
Shall I taste of the nectar, so filling ... Complete,
That would flow from our loves press.

I should truly know the joy of life,
If my heart be in her care,
I'd devote my life to doing your will,
If this joy, we two could share.

My search would be over, my thirst be quenched,
Lord, I know it be not wrong,
If your blessings be poured, our cup be filled,
And we eternally dance to love's song . . .
