The Merry Month Of May !

PALE PINK PRIMROSES - DELICATE & ELEGANT

Welcome bounteous May- for us you do provide
That mirth and joy which lead us into Summer
The woods and groves and streams are dressed by you
With yellow cowslip and the pale primrose.
The hills and dales are clothed with verdant green
And not a hint of frost but dew bejewels the spider webs.

SPIDER WEB JEWELLED WITH DEW (excuse my thumb !)

May - we salute your unpredictability
Now hot then cold now dry then wet a paradox
But we - because you are most feminine of months
Forgive your lovely indecisiveness
Because we know that soon - we all will welcome in
Your lovely sister June and "Summer will be comin' in"

MONARCH BUTTERFLY IN MAY

Sweet flowery May freshened by winds from East ....
& West and North & South a plethora ....
Of zephyrs from which ensues uncertainty
And May's enchanting sweet capriciousness !
Thus we salute sweet May - with harp and song
And praise and toast your beauty all month long !

May is one of the better months to go walking to see the sights and smell the smells.

Your poem has captured the month of May, in all its glory. I feel the breath of spring air in your words. I love Primroses, and the Monarch butterfly is magnificent. I can almost transport myself to the Alpine meadow.

Beautiful post! Thank you for sharing.

Yeih! It's May! Spring time...woo hoo!
I like: May is the most "feminine of months...Forgive your lovely indecisiveness...enchanting sweet capriciousness" Lol nice :)
And as always beautiful images that go well with your post. I especially love that Monarch Butterfly :)
