CHEESE  is one of the most ancient and most enduring of foods.  Fine dining without cheese is like the Mona Lisa without he smile. With a glass of vintage port it is a fitting dénouement to any banquet .  There are thousands of varieties of cheese and even if you sampled one per day it would still take a lifetime. the continent of Europe is a paradise for fromagophiles and one should always sample the regional cheeses when in Europe. Cheese does not travel well so be careful what you try to take home.  Most of the famous British Cheeses are available world wide.
