Rain

Rain rain go away, because of you the pain will stay. Slit my throat cut out my heart, leave me here and tear me apart, poison tears stream down my face, my heart beats a steady pace. Its a trip that starts again, alone and standing in the rain.

I happen to like the rain. The rain heals, it brings nourishment to the earth and cools the arid skin. It brings life to this world, where otherwise there is nothing but the harshness of carbon and its elements. If not for rain, our planet would be a desert of death. Vicious as Venus, and merciless as Mars. To offer poetry requires more than the elements of pain, or rhymes that fit with the convenience of rain. It's the staggered notion that somewhere in the ocean of tears of man, there is one that carries the kind of passion that can linger beyond the salt of its measure. When you look at your poison, as the succor it offers, let it nourish you, let yourself stand in the rain. Let them rust the shackles, that keep your talent... in chains. ♥
