I Want People to Share Their Poetry
I walked barefoot in the dark dank night
lost in my own keen thoughts
Everything was always a test with you
Through the claws of the outstretched figures in the woods
trying so hard to entangle me in their arms
I never did seem to suffice when it came to you and me
The howls surrounding me from all around,
jeering at my blunderous presence
I tried, oh, if you only knew
Finally, I see a light in the distance,
how long have I been walking?
Freedom.
lost in my own keen thoughts
Everything was always a test with you
Through the claws of the outstretched figures in the woods
trying so hard to entangle me in their arms
I never did seem to suffice when it came to you and me
The howls surrounding me from all around,
jeering at my blunderous presence
I tried, oh, if you only knew
Finally, I see a light in the distance,
how long have I been walking?
Freedom.
