Dying Flame

Smoke whisp' of grey

Trailing black, shying away

from dying flame

Heart of sorrow breathes in the frail

tendril, twined in decay of burning flame--

And snaking through the dusty walls

of the cavern drowning soul,

sings softly chimes of times long past

and climes no soul today remembers--

Sinking soul floods with pleasure

Into grey song's lament of despair

While woven tangles of knotted past

Strangle soul with caresses gentle

til heart of sorrow beats no more.

lostsoul09: I'm so sorry for your loss...for over a year now i have been staying up nights to keep my best friend from killing himself...i can understand your pain, and his pain too...i wish i could say how much i feel for you...if my friend...im sorry, im really really sorry, but i love you for being so strong and writing something so beautiful for his memory...i hope he can feel your love, wherever he is, and that the scars on his heart, soul and body have been healed and made whole...

Thank you i appreciate the nice comment :)

Ok this one's a little dark. My friend i knew for years decided to take his life due to a girl he loved. This poem is for him, except this is more or less lyrical than poetry but meh ill share a little part of it.

As blood runs down my hand

I'm thinking of you the whole time,

How i wanted to be your man.

I'm in despair as i sit and stare at cuts

I owe all to you, Let that haunt you.

How I am so lonely and pitiful all because i fell for you.

"I love you" you said but it was such a lie.

On the nights when I am alone I will lay and cry and

suddenly,

Tragically I will die, and finally no more lies.

Goodbye.
