Will It Ever Stop?

Why is there so much hate in the world today?

Every time you turn the TV on

all you see is war in Iraq,

bombings in the UK,

police brutality in the Bay Area.

Will there ever be PEACE?

When I was younger,

I used to think there was another world out there

Somewhere…

A world without gangs and rapists,

a world without weapons and wars.

I used to think long and hard

‘bout what it would be like

to live in this perfect world.

Men and women would always live in pure ecstasy,

children would run and jump around,

laughing and having fun.

As I got older,

my vision of the ‘perfect’ world disappeared,

I realized violence would never stop,

that there would always be hate and crime,

injustice and inequality.

I now understand everything,

people don’t care about the world,

they don’t care about the ones they hurt,

and it seems they don’t even care about themselves.

It’s so sad hearing,

about suicide bombers,

but life is not perfect.

There will always be some kind of a war,

there will always be a husband or a boyfriend

beating his wife or girlfriend because he says she’s not

good enough for him,

there will always be an innocent child shot

because she was at the wrong place, at the wrong time.

No one will be able to stop this unless they try.

Are you willing to try?

Sometimes I feel exactly as you do.Check out my living as a child today.

That day is soon coming but it will not be a product of human design -

"“Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne [Jehovah God] said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”" - Revelation 21:3-5

Dude I love this.

i agree and always think about it too. Truely . Really touch my heart cheery22x.Good job

Imagine how painful it is
For those of us who once said
"Never again!"
Still willing, still trying.
Thank you.

i honisistly agree

WOW! That was deep! I loved it.

This world is madness all I can say is-

Learning
Inevitable
Ferociousness
Entertains

To the Greeks Promethius gave man the fire of consciousness; to the Jews it was a snake with hands tricking eve into eating of the tree of knowledge. The primal knowledge of man says that the only perfect world would be one with no free will and no striving for kinship with god, which is far less desirable than the world we've got

absolutely beautiful! Brilliant write. .......:)

your poem made me sad even though I already knew about this horrible truth. The world has gone mad and I don't think there is anything we can do about it because nobody is willing to change. Everyone is so greedy and selfish, the word 'help' and 'selflessness' has disappeared. Sometimes I wish there really is a different world out there, one that is the exact opposite of our world.

I have to say your comments are so true and yet so wrong. The world is full of evil people who justify their actions either thru religious ideology or some misguided political agenda. Thats the downside. I have met some very beautiful people who are caring , giving and full of love so I guess it sort of balances out a bit Dont give up hope and always support the good guys.

Although these horrible things make us sad they do make us apprieciate what we have, well some of us anyway =]

Some sad realities you bring up here. Some of us are too distracted to notice. Some of us are desensitized. De-humanized?

I ask only that you not forget the flip side of these realities. After all, life is an imperfect balance of all opposites. For every ugly head reared in your way, there is a warm smile just around the corner.
