Poetry Is Melody-less Songs That Express Your True Feelings.

The Wall

I don't know why/ I pretend/ everything's fine/ when it's not.

I don't know why/ I say I'm/ perfectly fine/ when I'm not.

On the outside/ I'm a wall./ But the inside/ is crumbling.

Sometime's I slip./ Walls become/ invisible/ just like me.

I always thought/ I was fine./ My life's not great/ but it's fine.

My sister died/ But I'm fine./ I was beaten/ but I'm fine.

My mom liked drugs/ But I'm fine./ My dad liked booze/ but I'm fine.

I've cut myself/ but I'm fine./ It's depression/ and it's fine.

That's what I say/ when people/ apologize/ for my life.

I don't know why/ I act fixed/ when secretly/ I'm broken.

But it wasn't/ 'til the day/ when she didn't/ say anything.

That was the day/ when the wall/ crumbled away/ and left... me.
