Thrown From The Train Into British Solder's Arms
My mother told me a story once about the Armenian Genocide by the Turks. A cousin of hers had a second marriage to a gentleman who as a baby was born in Armenia. The story was that his family was loaded on to a train to be taken to be killed and one of his parents threw him from the train into the arms of a British soldier. This baby was brought to the United States and adopted and brought up by a family here. I was always touched by this story.and agree that there should be recognition of this genocidal event by the Turks and even reparations paid to the survivors and the families of those murdered.
