I'm Seeking Genuine Male Friendship

I had a male friend who I was very close to. We'd grown up together from infancy because our families lived in the same building and were friends, so he was more like a brother to me. He died some years ago, and what a void he's left in my life. I miss his perspective, his stalwart friendship, our mutual supportiveness through difficult times and the double joy we shared when one of us was especially happy. Having appreciated such a friendship in the past, it would be nice to be able to share this type of relationship again.

I like friends talk happily.

Thank you so much for your kind offer of friendship, rommel175. I'd be honored to have you for a friend. In case you're not aware though, I'm quite a bit older than you, but I don't think that prevents friendship when people understand and respect each other.

i'l be yur friend<br />

but never forget people like that, we all need people like that because it proves that we arent insane, and to lose people like really hurts. i have the fortune(or misfortune) to never have had a friend like that, so i wont have to deal with losing them.

You're so right. Also since I'm not an "out there" sort of person, that kind of relationship, from the inside out, is not an easy one for me to achieve. At times he and I annoyed the living daylights out of each other, but there was no question we'd always be there for each other. I think a site like this can be helpful that way, since people get to know each other through writing....from the inside out.
