I Want Someone to Care About Me
I'm 29 and I've never been in a relationship. I can't seem to attract a man who has any interest in being in a relationship with me. Men are constantly hitting on me, but they typically just want sex. On the one hand, I know that they must find something attractive about me. On the other hand, I don't understand why the attraction is so superficial. What is the line that takes a man from simply finding a woman physically attractive to wanting to get to know her interests and wanting to know how her day was?
This doesn't just happen with random men on the streets. Most of my male friends from work, family connections, or grad school at one time or another have made a pass at me, and often enough they're in relationships or married. They have the woman they take to dinner, to family functions, or to the doctor's office when she's sick. But me, I'm just this opportunity. Why can't any guys care about me?
