    Thanks for posting, I appreciate your comments. I have been finding some very useful resouces online, including the Freedom from Smoking program, which is free, and the Quitsmokingonline.com program, which is free or you can make a donation. I also have Allen Carr's book about the easy way to quit smoking.



    I have set my quit date as January 1 and I start taking Chantix this week. Wish me luck!

    I set a date, I think that's a good thing. Because I tried one time to quit and fail, i was at work one night, and threw my cigs in the dumpster. But the next day I bought more. So I set my 32nd birthday. I've been stopped now for five years after 20 years. it was the best gift I could have ever given myself.

    After smoking for twenty-five years, I decided to stop. One evening, while watching television, I smoked twelve cigarettes one after another. That was twenty-eight years ago and I have never smoked since. That might work for you. I hope so!
