I quit smoking two months ago. It was so hard. I started chewing gum and drinking coffee this actually helped me. I smoked a lot too. And you have to just learn to take deep breaths its only 5 mins of hell after a day when I still had cravings you just have to keep telling yourself its important.

You sound determined so that is your first step! I quit in December 2011. I feel so much better. My doctor prescribed Wellbutrin for me which is for depression but has also worked for smoking cessation. It was like my urge just went away. I didn't smoke a lot but even if I'd stop for a few days I'd always go back to it. Smoking was my friend...so YOU my friend need to find a new friend! When you have the urge you need to figure out how you will handle it. Join every group you can. Tell everyone you know that you are quitting, that way you'll feel more accountable. Just think for a moment, take a real moment to think about what your body does for you and just HOW smoking can impact you so negatively. I wish you much luck and success!!
