Someone told me that Al Gore is a big liar. I doubt the truth about Global warming but I do believe that people should do everything to save energy and reduce emissions, global warming or not.

no, the earth naturally evolves and changes. it naturally warms with or without humans. plus the earth is moving towards the sun/ but it is a good idea to be conservative with trash and what not. so the hype pays off.

Yes

I do not think that global warming is caused by the human race. Some years ago we were suppose to be heading toward an ice age. The sky is falling, the sky is falling. It is said that if something is said enough times people will believe it
Only GOD can destroy this world.

With Enigma145 110%!

YES it IS real -as much as many of these answers are moronic - how scarey

The earth naturally warms and cools.....It has done this in the past....and it will dod it in the future......there is nothing in this world that man can do to stop this......And any man t hat thinks that he can is fooling himself......

But really....Anyone that has ever been in the desert during the summer knows abouyt global warming......Nothing freekier than when I went to work in March.....having to wear shorts and a tee shirt.....but making sure that I had my overalls....hat...gloves...scarf....heavy coat......to make it through the night.....But still have to duck into the Cold room......Just to warm up....

When there is a 75 degree difference in less than 8 hours.....Now so much for Global Warming....More like Global Cool down if you ask me

i think it's a natural process the world goes through. ice age, warming ect.

No, but it IS a multimillion dollar idea...you want to sell something? Just add the words "green", "hybrid" "eco friendly", "organic" to something and Puff! It'll sell like hotcakes.

I think it's just another thing that they want ot put in our heads...... I do believe human nature is being destroyed but i really don't think that we need to worry about it so much because people with money need something to do with all their money....I think it's a 'Gorefadddddd"

With all that is going on these days with the yes I believe it. The whole situation makes me think of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow".

If it is.....then I'm sure Freezing my butt of!!! =)

well one thing fo sure a piece of ice the size of texas falling into the ocean is definate proof that Global warming exists

There are much too many theories whether global warming is a myth or a code word or maybe even a threat. Solely, I do not think that global warming is in actual fact 'real' but almost a threat or miscalculation of all the problems and pollutions that the environmentalist are trying to warn us. Exaggeration, definitely. I doubt it's going to happen, reminds me of the "2012" theory. Really now, be realistic.

Yes...But I think that something natural is causing it,not hair spray!

I live in Prince George, British Columbia.

The weather has been increasingly unstable; the temperature has been over the zero mark for over two weeks now (I think in Celcius). Yesterday it had hit 15 degrees celcius! In reality, we should just be getting out of our coldest time, with an average of -20 to -10. We should have at least 3 feet more snow, yet within a couple weeks from now we'll have to cut our grass. (Ok, it will take a little longer then that, but our Spring time is really early regardless!). The ignorant say we cannot change the climate of Earth. Before technology, it was true, too! But since the development of technology, the very fuel of it is electricity. What drives the electricity? For the most part, it comes from thermal energy. The kind from fires. The main fuel for the fire is fossil fuels. When you burn something, like fossil fuels, you release gasses. In small amounts, it will no do any damage. But after decades of use of the source of energy, the gasses will build up... the more used, the more gasses. Some of the gasses are relatively harmless, however, most of the gasses are in the form of Carbon Dioxide. Carbon Dioxide, which is toxic to most animals, also affect the temperature on Earth. In small amounts, it is harmless, like the feeling of pressing an electric shock pen (those are fun :D). In huge amounts, as we are generating more and more in a daily basis, is like going outside, and touch both ends of a fully-charge vehicle battery. It could kill you! (Odds are pretty good you're dead if you do it).

All in all, global warming is a real threat. Yes, this has happened before, but not from natural events; no; it is from our doing. Our drive for technology, for faster transportation, for massive buildings and bigger, badder vehicles (etc.), WILL BE OUR END IF WE DON'T SMARTEN UP NOW! As I said, it has happened before, just before an ice age. There are other, equally bad actions humans constantly do, but this thread is based on global warming, so I won't say what... just do some research! Be your own scientist! (Just be accurate before you start spouting out things that aren't real).

Global Warming isn't what to be afraid of. It is what happens after. And it has been proven, we have already started the change of events to it. Think of the consequences of not your actions, but as the collective actions of humankind! If you truly see the problem, then you shall realize the action of an individual influences the world, NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS! Counting in 1's adds up after a while :D. Do not say; act, then say!

And to answer the question, Global Warming is real. And it is of our actions. Regardless if it has happened before. Even if it was supposed to happen regardless, we are accelerating the processing, and making the consequence worse.

And of all things, for those who don't care because they won't live through the mess, IT IS YOUR DOING REGARDLESS! Collectively, we will make Earth thrive, or Earth will have it's new breed. Of what, we shall never know.

It melted all this snow, didn't it?

Everything dies. The earth started out and had her ice age and will die in a ball of fire. When we're born our bodies are mostly water, by the time we reach old age we're dried up prunes. I think, just like the body we can do things to both speed up the process of dying or slow it down. But in the end, no matter how "green" we become, the earth, like everything else God has created, will die.

I belive the earth has its cycles, some scientist are now say no to global warming and places that use to have winters are getting them again and places that had water go down is now up again. whlie I do not belive it would not hurt to take green steps I do not think it should be so big that it is a huge money makeing thing or laws for it

Anyone who thinks it's not is researching what 90% of Scientists have concluded. Politics is what keeps the naysayers believing it's not.

A few years ago they said we were facing a new Ice Age.

I believe it is a way for governments to impose a new tax.

Do I "think" the Moon is made of Green Cheese ?

(no; to BOTH questions.)

When the authorities want it to be real, you'll see more taxes. I don't beiieve in global warming as anything but an earth cycle

I don't believe anyone. Maybe, maybe not.

There is no significant proof in my opinion.

Yes

i thlnk everything we do here on earth affects it whether it is good or bad. Its like taking something and wanting to change and mold it differently. Is it getting warm in here??????

Either it's real or I'm hitting menopause really really early. ( I'm 16)

You'd have to be in denial if you didn't believe it. Where we live on the North Coast, it's become obviously warmer and we see our waters constantly affected, rivers and ocean depleted, warmer weather, and loss of natural habitat. We just painted our roof top with white reflective paint because it has become so hot inside in the past 15 years.

I do believe global warming is a real thing? What about the rises in temperature in winter and summer to places that's not used to it? Like Vancouver having barely any snow for the winter olympics? Or the heat getting unbarable in places that never have it? I mean come on? Its not god!

yes

Yes, but I think it is some what overly hyped up at times. I think we do need to take better care of our planet. Go green!

NO!....The planet goes through these changes ALL THE TIME!

South Australia is in a Drought, but we are the Driest state in the Driest Country!

Nothing has changed in millions of years!

Where was CO2 when the Ice Age hit millions of years ago?

Yes, I do think global warming is real, and very glad it is, especially in the winter. It might be a little too obvious to some, but about every 24 hours this global earth gets a round of warming from the Sun. And, by deduction, I also believe in global cooling, for the same reason. As far as considering the much longer period of time, assuming there was once an "ice age", I don't know how we could deny periods of time that are warmer than they once were. If your asking whether this tiny period of time that mankind has influenced the global atmosphere is causing an accelaration in "warming" of the earth from year to year.... We should just leave that up to the politicians that live off that kind of stuff and keep working to pay the taxes that keep them coming up with these kinds of causes that make us feel better about saving the world and all. Otherwise, we will be left with something bigger to believe in, and that just don't make sense, especially now that we are so much smarter than we were. ha just kidding.

Not really. But I do believe the Sun spot stuff that influences periods of time that affect the earth's tempature, warming/cooling, and therefore weather. I do believe that when God made the Sun that it was good, not perfect, and He meant for it to not be perfect, otherwise, as you go from year to year, you can still say "I wonder if its gonna snow on Christmas Eve?". Good is better than perfect.

I do feel that there are events taking place on this earth that are affecting the changes that we are seeing. Over the years we have seen several weather changes, including snow in states that naturally would not get snow.

Global warming is real, it's what keeps the earth nice and warm. Eccelerating global warming, here is where the problem lies.

The past has proven us that sudden changes in climate are quite normal. In fact, the levels of carbondioxide were 4 times as high as now during dinosaur time. We humans have influence on them, but I think we cannot start nor stop them.

We'd better learn to adapt to whatever it is the future will bring us, instead of mock about it on every front page.

The earth has been thru so much becoming cold, hot. Mother nature is in complete control and anything we do is merely a flake of dandruff on her shoulder in which she can brush off at any given moment.

So do I believe in "global warming" ????...no, surely you must be joking.

I believe it's real but not due to cow's belching or humans carbon foot print. I remember a professor telling us that what we add to this is pretty much a drop in the bucket compared to volcanoes and other naturally occurring things that have nothing to do with humans. I do believe the climate is changing right now. It seems that way anyway but I haven't really read much on the subject.

**basking in the sun, feathers fluffed** "i hope so, don't you? Africa could be a little warmer.."

I believe there is a warming trend world wide. I do not necessarily believe that it is not just a natural phenomenon.

So many lies and half-truths are being aired and published that it is hard to discern the truth. We probably need to reduce emissions from burning carbon fuels just because they are bad for our lungs. Look at the areas that have lots of smog. The agenda of the political liars is not clear yet. Are they pushing for acceptance of more nuclear power? Are they looking for an excuse to tax us further? I suspect that whatever it is, it is not altruistic or beneficial for most of mankind. We will just have to wait and see.

It's like Yoga, Reindeer and Steve Jobs. All false.

Some say we are destroying the Earth, but really, we are destroying the environment for which we humans must have to live on the Earth. This old blue ball will still be spinning in space long after we caretakers (nocaretakers) are gone. The question is, will that be the time of the comming, or will another species spring up out of the ooze that will eventually tear itself down and require the intervention once again of a Savior to redeem them.

absolutely not. and the truth about this farce is finally coming out now. i do not believe that the human race could change the climate even if we wanted to.

It is real, but the question is how much of it is natural and how much is caused or accelerated by human activities.

Yes I do believe that it is real! Everything will come in time, just be prepared for anything! And be right with yourself and god.

Yes & no. There´s always been climatic changes...Ice Age e.g. But I suppose our way of lives isnt helping the planet much and the bombs. :-(

Maybe in some areas! But, it's just a part of the Eart's cycle! Live with it! It's maybe time for us to go like the Dinosaurs!

You'd be out of your Gore'd not to...

Nooooooo !!!

The changes are suppost to happen, it happened before .

No, there is enough evidence to prove it wrong.

Yep.
