I Want to Ask a Question

Long story short I recently went to the doctors because I haven't been feeling well for the past 6 months. Symptoms were, difficulty breathing, low energy, severe chest pains, chest cough, heart palpitations etc..

Anyways as soon as the doctor found out I had been sent to the ER for a suicide threat, he immediately started doubting EVERYTHING coming out of my mouth. But he ordered (half assedly) a fasting test & an ekg & said only if there was something wrong would he contact me with the test results.

Now I knowing something isnt right when for the past 3 weeks I havent been able to take a deep breath or breath properly. I get the jitters if I don't eat & drink constantly..

I know they didnt take me seriously & seeing another doctor is not possible unless I go to the ER & even then unless you are brought in via ambulance, you have to wait 8 hours to see a doctor & even then they usually don't do much of an exam...

Soooo what the heck do I do now? I can't breath 3/4 of the time =( Plus the chest pains can get severe enough to make me pass out

    Its definitely not a panic attack, as I had a counsellor confirm that. My panic attacks are way different. I wasn't that concerned till I would be sitting there watching tv & I would get white hot pain in my chest & other times I couldn't breath without going blue in the face. Unfortunately because of a huge incident with another counsellor at the college, I can no longer find any doctor to take me seriously.

    It does sound like a heart issue--though Im not a md. There also could be some type of panic attack along with it. The breathing issue is definitely not good.

    How is your blood pressure?? Are you able to have it taken?? Definitely get to a another doctor right away!!

    No in Canada you are lucky to find one doctor to look at you. At least where I'm from. We have a huge shortage of doctors =(

    If you take aspirin, does it get any better?. Aspirin thins the blood, so if it is heart or artery problems this may help. In UK, if we are not happy with a doctors decision, we can ask for a second opinion. Can you not do this?
