Coming Home

As a child, I was raised in the south, and my Christian education came from a Baptist church. Even as a child, I felt the Baptist beliefs did not strongly reflect how I perceived God. I stopped attending when I was 13 years old.

I have yet to return to any church, but I have a very strong interest in attending an Episcopal church. I have researched the beliefs of the Episcopalians, and they seem to mesh with mine perfectly. I still haven't worked up the nerve to actually attend, even as a guest, but I'm working on that. Being a lesbian- and living in the south- has diminished my nerve to approach/attempt to join other Christians in this area. Hopefully God will lead me to the church I should attend.
