Unstable... But Hopefully Not For Long

My husband and I have been looking for a home church for two years. During this time the stability of my relationship with God has really dwindled, because I haven't had a place to sink my roots into, a place I can call home and be with friends and really build into the community. I feel that community is so important to building a relationship with Christ because you have brothers and sisters who help you along the way, hold you accountable for your actions, really. I also need to really improve the solitary aspect of my relationship with God... I rarely read the Bible anymore and I rarely pray. I just have to begin, just have to try, because nothing I do will ever be worthy of God, but it's really the effort, the striving toward perfection that counts, that is the fulfilling part.

The Truth about GOD<br />
# Exodus 15:3 "The Lord is a man of war."<br />
# Joel 3:9-10 "Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong." <br />
Was Jesus peaceable?<br />
# Matthew 10:34 "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."<br />
# Luke 22:36 "Then said he unto them, . . . he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."<br />
The answer is NO!!!<br />

90% Cristians have not read the Bible

A little harsh but I like it. Good use of scripture to 'prove' your point like a Christian might although as we both know using the scripture to prove anything is sort of a joke.

Hello Christabel,<br />
<br />
The Memorial of Christ's Death is coming up on April 4th 2009 at a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses near you. It is the most important time of the year and a most sacred night...Jesus told us to keep doing this in remembrance of him. Perhaps you could attend this wonderful meeting and experience the love and care of Christians who speak and live a Christ like life. These friends are preachers of the Good News of God's Kingdom. Just like you are familiar with the Lord's prayer...Jesus told us to pray for God's Kingdom to come and for his will to be done on earth. Hope you will attend the Memorial of Christ's Death and be around those who will help you in your Christian walk.

My church has a radio program with recordings on the web. They could be a blessing to you! Go to: http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/kingdom_living/

Amen! We just have to remember that God is a God of love and there is nothing impossible with him

Nothing fails like prayer! You bunch of wolves! Woman obviously in need and there you are barking at her door with false promise that your flavor of religion is somehow better than the next guys. Why don't you let her choose and quit soliciting?
