I Want to Be a Mom
In this age of social media, it is really easy to notice all of the girls you knew in school getting pregnant, and raising their children. I keep wondering, "How do they do it? They are no better off than I am, so how can they afford it?" The answer is quite simple: welfare. It bothers me, I suppose, that people are simply having babies with no regard to finances. While other women, myself included, wait and long for their future babies; dream of them, and plan for them, these women just have babies like it's no big deal, and expect taxpayer money to raise them. I'm not trying to get political about this, but it's the truth. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? I want to do my future child/ren a favor by being an example of personal responsibilty. So, I suppose I will continue to stare at adorable baby things in the stores, think about the child/ren I hope one day to have, and worry about the next generation; most of whom, it seems, will be raised with the belief that everything should be handed to them on a silver platter.
