I Want To Be A Mortician!

I took a forensics class in high school and loved it. But I didn't want to be the one to figure out what happened. I wanted to be the one that fixed up the deceased so that they looked good for their funeral. I'm pretty good with makeup, and I figured that I would do the deceased's makeup for them since they can't. Plus, I like helping people. This is the way I want to help others.

I was a licensed funeral director/embalmer for more than 25 years.(For a female that many years ago it was not common.) It is clannish, the good ole boys system, under paid, overworked - 20/20 hindsite tells me I should have gone to nursing school

You should become one then! I worked at a funeral home for a while. It's a nice place to work if you want to help people. Which seems morbid but losing someone to a family is the worst thing in the world and those people need the most help.
