I Want to Be a Novel Writer

I already have some projects going, and a few random publications here and there that are little episodes from the bigger, overall story. My professor, a well-known editor, is helping me get published, and I'm working really hard to make it much more than entertainment. (Though I'm focusing on both aspects. My professor is really helping me with the production part.) Wish me luck, it's going to take me a couple more years until I have it the way I want it. I just love the process and love the fact that it's something to come back to whenever I need it.

Once you have something that makes print and the book or magazine to prove it, you have a foot in the door and a foot up on those who WANT to be.

Thanks, unlimited! I write a lot about spirituality stuff here (because that's what inspires me!), but sometimes I think maybe a fiction piece would be cool, metaphors for what I've experienced in the spiritual realm. Who knows, it may never happen, but I might start something just as a hobby. Thanks for the encouragement!

It's amazing at how uninspiring the education system is! I hated school (except history). Good luck Dee! What will you write about if you start?

I have dreams of being a writer and someday getting published.. which is funny, cause in high school English was my worst subject, lol... I didn't learn to write until I found something to inspire me....
