It Was In Me

A personal story in the experience: I Want to Be a Teacher
M y professor at school says teachers are born not trained. When I heard this I took a look at my real reasons for going into education, early childhood education at that. I realized that ever since I was a child, I would gather all my siblings and friends to  play "school". I was always the teacher! I even went as far as to make real lesson plans, create a grade book, and pass out homework assignments. I was only 7 years old. Still, even then, I found every aspect of being a teacher and helping people learn, exciting! As I grew up, I became the "tutor", and I would help my siblings with their homework. I always received compliments on how I was so patient and made things so easy to learn. My reasons for going into early childhood education was that I loved children. Now I know that I was put on this Earth to teach and I might as well make a difference one child at a time.

Hooooo my gosh. Your story reminds me of me. I use to do the same thing and I started tutoring Elementary students and Spanish also. I use to play school when I was little and I was the teacher and I used to print out my "students" friends homework. I love children I believe that when you are at that age you learn so much and you appreciate things more than teenagers do. I used to love tutoring and finishing the lesson and seeing their faces and how proud they were everytime they got 100 in their regular classes. I love kids and I want to be a teacher.
