Why I Signed Onto The Site

For way to long I have taken the lazy path of wanting to become a writer and never actually stayed committed to writing. The process will always start the same, I will get this amazing idea, and for days afterward I will work with it, mold it into something great. After I've got the idea ready in my head, I'll start writting. Looking in my documents you'll see at least 4-8 drafts for each idea. All the draft will start out the same, but then develop into something different. From a new perspective, an addition event, more information, etc. By the time I realize that I've strayed off the path I've wanted to work on, I toss it out. Eventually, my mind grows tired of the idea before I ever let it have the chance to grow or become as great as I imagined it.
That's why I joined this site. The core of it is sharing your experiences through stories. My goal is to write at least two new things everyweek. Now don't be fooled, I've had goals like this before. Maybe I will keep to it for a while considering I'm on winter break. But at the same time, this could be my last post before I grow tired of writing again.
But that's the beauty of the world, you never know what you're going to do next. You can change your mind on so many different things, that it's beautiful how many possibilties there are in the universe.
I hope I keep writing, because I love it. Maybe with a new adventure and enviroment I can grow to new heights as an author.

Me too. Except I am 44. Writing daily in my journal is the best I have been able to do. I hope you do better than I have in the follow through. A writer's group where you meet in person is the best. Accountability, and boy are you ready with something on the day you meet!
