Happiness Is a Simple Goal - Take It One Day At a Time!

I think Experience Project helped me, because it stirred something in me that made me feel like there was something I could do to make each day better, more livable. I still am in the same set of circumstances I was in when I first joined a couple of days ago, but I have taken small steps in reaching out to people.

It started out when I was feeling so alone and I didn't have anyone to talk to. I typed I feel alone in the Search engine and lo and behold! I was directed to the Experience Project's I Feel So Alone Page. I was still alone, but all of a sudden I didn't feel so bad. We were all lonely together. It's been 2 days since I started on this, and I have made 3 new friends - the most genuinely concerned and lovely individuals.

I have also begun this truly heart-warming challenge: I took it upon myself to message one friend everyday for 14 days. I've been writing to at least one friend every day, and I feel extremely fulfilled! It rekindled old friendships, and opened new doors for deeper relationships with some acquaintances. I recommend this challenge to anyone looking to take a step to breaking out of their rut!

It doesn't have to be incredible or grand in any scale. It can be a smile to a stranger, 10 minutes that you devote entirely to yourself, or even leaving the last of the coffee filters for your room mate. There are plenty of ways to cheer up your day, every day. I'm realizing that again because of EP.

Thank you everyone! With every piece of encouragement I am inspired to commit to this goal. And I am glad that some of you can relate to my experiences.
BonsaiTrees, thank you for your notes! I really appreciate each of them. I did have a good Wednesday, and I rushed home because I was so excited to check out what was on EP. It gives me such a pleasant high!
