Just Listen Don't Fix.

Sometimes I just want someone to hold me and nod their head in agreement or understanding. They don't have to try and give me advice or fix my problems. When I was little I was Sexually abused and my best friend was murdered by my birth father. (Best friend was my kitten named lucky.) Now ten years later it still hurts as much as it did when all the abuse took place. Everyone I tell has no pity they just tell me to get over it or they secretly sign me up for counseling. Why can't someone just say everything will be alright?
