I
f someone genuinely cares for me, I am 100% NOT attracted to them. All I've ever known of love is rejection and hurt my whole life so my psychology dictates that I see abusive relationships as normal ---- and I fall madly in love with men who consistently devalue me. I wish I was a normal person with a normal childhood following a normal life path with a decent job and a husband and a family. Instead I am a tortured artist oscillating between desperate/vulnerable and angry/defensive, and I am ready to give up on love. Sigh.
