I would like to say yuor comment hite home. Why try if you keep going down hill. You should alway try even though its rough. I'm in a similar thing. But I don't give up never have never will. Its to bad you didn't live closer so we could hang out.

When you can see the goodness in yourself, when you can love yourself, appreciate the person you are, others will see it, and they will see this in you. No not everyone is going to like you, but that is okay. Be yourself always, have that confidence in yourself. It took me sometime to realize that being who you are is fine. Do not try to change to please others, either they accept you or not. True friends are going to always be there for you, and they are going to love you just as you are.

I understand what you are saying and I agree...I am becoming "me" around others as well, and it is surprising to find that others really do like who I am... The "real" me! Thanks for the post.:)

I like your comment. And why is it surprising? Why would they not like you? It is so much easy to be yourself, it feels so good, just being who you are and of course others will like you.

I agree with you 100%. My problem is that as soon as I like someone (as in the opposite sex), I tend to get nervous around them. But at least I am aware of this and am working on it.

When you feel comfortable about being honest about yourself, others relax in your presence. It is part of the journey from childhood to adulthood, I think, to discover your identity and learn that others can relate to you. A very nice feeing it is too, especially if your childhood has been fraught with insecurity.

If you are being Fake you can't learn from anyone; because you'll be too blinded by lies of self-righteousness to practice compassion; since being humble is the only thing that lowers the Blinders over your eyes. Seeing another as yourself... So you know you cannot Judge without judging yourself first!
