I would try marriage counseling first, but if that avenue is not feasible or has not worked for you, it is time for a change. If you have had enough and believe it is time to go, then you could begin by calling a women's center hotline. You will be surprised by how much better you will feel to get yourself and your children away from this abusive situation. Economically, you may experience some rough times, but you are far more empowered than you know. If you do not know how to proceed, call a your local women's center.

He's a mind-pla<x>yer, and wants to convince you (and himself) that you cannot survive without HIM!! WOW! Do I feel for you! Been there, done that! Mentally abusive relationships are harder to leave than physical ones. I bet you can give 50 EXCUSES as to why he's a "good person" and why you should stay with him, huh? Yeah, I could too.
