Gonna Try and Rely On Me Instead of Pills

i've been on and off antidepressants for years...... i know i rely on them way too much. i think alot of it is a safety net. i have panic disorder, which according to doctors means my neurotransmitters are misfiring lol, and i don't produce enough seratonin. (i sound like a robot lol) anyway.... i've been taking 30 mg of my antidepressant and i'm gonna try taking just 20mg. my doctor is aware of my desire to get down to the bare minimum and told me i may or may not "feel" a difference. hmmmm, frightening words to someone with this disorder!! anyway i'm off work for holidays for 2 weeks, so i figure what better time to experiment with a change when i don't have to worry about getting up early and going to work. sounds logical i think. so starting tonite i'm gonna do it!!!!!!!!!

I started taking mine every other day, then every 3 days etc. I just got off of them totally. I was a little nervous also. It has been a few weeks now and I am fine. Yeeaahhhhh. I am happy about this.

The longest journey starts with the smallest step. I wish you all the best , and have a great holiday!!!!

If you don't mind me asking, which antidepressants and/or other medications are you prescribed? I have panic disorder as well and am always curious to others' experiences with panic disorder and meds.

there's something to be said for better living via chemistry. there's also something to be said for au naturale! i think it's EXTREMELY important to take the bare minimum even if it means we have to work harder at it (whatever that might be.) over time all those chemicals take a toll on the body and we end up with secondary problems. so ... i'm proud of you, p.i.p. good luck my friend. you'll be fine ... i know you will. just remember to breathe. ;-)

good luck !!!!! I totally know how that goes !
