Paybacks Are Hell!

When my hubby and I first got married, I thought I might declutter his unorganized his desk.

I neatly stacked papers, organized a "In" box for the mail, put all his pens and pencils in a cute golf coffee cup, placed his journals in a wicker basket on his desk for easy access and even threw out waded up stickie notes.

After completion, I stood back admiring my wifey work!  Hubby's only comment was...That's nice.

Paybacks are HELL People....Let me tell you!!

A few months after the desk declutter incident, my husband slipped into a Bi-Polar manic episode.  He is most active in his episodes during the nightime hours.

Here, I was snoozing away one night, hoping to get at least 4-5 hours of sleep, if I was lucky.  Suddenly, Hubby barges into the bedroom, flips on the overhead light and pulls the bed covers off the bed.  He's screaming at me, "I can't find my journal, I can't find my brown journal!"

Talk about a WAKE UP CALL!  I shot up and out of bed and found his brown journal, that was located in the wicker basket on his recently decluttered desk.  As I handed him his brown journal he said: "Don't ever touch the stuff on my desk again."

Haven't touched a thing on his cluttered desk since.  If I need something, I ask Hubby to get it for me!  Learned my Lesson!!

That's what happens when you put an organized and an unorganized person together!

You can't organise other people's clutter, only our own. Only they know what's important to them. I commend you for trying to help though.

I have been there, I know exactly how you feel.

Whoa! I wouldn't either. I like things organized too.Guess there is method in the madness..open office door and back out slowly. My space is neat and I don't prefer anyone rearranging things. He knew you were being a good doobie..Hugs and all is well.
