Gotta Love That Water!

Drinking too little water has never been a problem for me. It is true that not too long ago I was craving other drinks that are not very good for you like soda and Gatorade (even worse). If you have not heard before water helps to reduce the amount of toxins in your body, improve your energy, and even lower your heart rate and blood pressure. There is no question that water is the best drink out there; the only one that is a suitable candidate for hydration. Well how much are you supposed to drink? First off there is no such thing as too much water unless you have water continuously running into your bloodstream. Some doctors say that five bottles of 80 ml of water is good enough and will really help you. Actually they are completely wrong. You need to be drinking at least 9 to 10 100 ml bottles of water per day to actually be replenishing the water your body needs. Also when you have a very bad sickness water will actually help to get rid of the virus faster and stop feeling sick. I once had Cocksaxie virus. This is when you have a very large white spot at the back of your throat (100 times worse than strep throat). It is usually so far back you can't even feel it. I had it for almost a week and the pain was so overwhelming I could not eat anything. However I was able to still drink full glasses of water so I was still staying pretty hydrated even though my body temperature was well over 105 degrees. By the time I got to the ER on a Tuesday Afternoon they gave me an IV to start putting essential nutrients back into my body. If it wasn't for the IV or drinking water I would have died at only 17. So remember the next time you want a Mountain Dew think of your body and get orange juice or water instead.
