Christian Witches

Leviticus 19:31 "'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 20:6 "'I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.

Leviticus 20:27 "'A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.'"

Deuteronomy 18:10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,

Deuteronomy 18:11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

1 Samuel 28:3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah. Saul had expelled the mediums and spiritists from the land.

Jeremiah 27:9 So do not listen to your prophets, your diviners, your interpreters of dreams, your mediums or your sorcerers who tell you, 'You will not serve the king of Babylon.'

Jeremiah 27:10 They prophesy lies to you that will only serve to remove you far from your lands; I will banish you and you will perish.

This is your Bible. Do you really think your God is ok with you claiming the religion of a witch. I don't believe in your bible, but if I did I'd be damn sure I was going to hell. There is no such thing as a christian witch.

Umm...Christians pick and mix the bible.
I don't think the majority of Christians are bible literalists...certainly ones that try to remain inside the strictures of Leviticus are a small minority.
Do I think there are lots of hypocrites in the Christian religion? sure
I look to see how much like Jesus they are. My view is: If they claim Jesus, their hypocrisy can be seen in terms of how unlike Jesus they are.
Jesus hung out with beggars, hookers, lepers, ethnic minorities, he healed the sick, and generally behaved very compassionately.

...Christians are supposed to believe Jesus absolved them, love God with their whole heart, and love those around them as much as themselves. That is the bare-bones definition of being a Christian.
Christian witches call on angels. So did Moses and Solomon, according to the OT.
Moses was never accused of witchcraft, neither was Solomon.

I checked out many flavors of Christianity before leaving it behind. Currently, I believe a Buddhist/Pagan mixture...Mahayana Buddhism is more compatible with Earth worship, but I too could be accused of being hypocritical, I expect.

I apologize for nitpicking in advance, and this is not an attempt to question your knowledge. But, there are several biblical scholars who are saying that the old testament, especially the laws handed down by 'god' were meant only for the ancient Hebrews as a way of differentiating themselves from the pagan people/nations and does not restrict or apply to modern day Christians.

Totally understand your logic, and if they saw it that way Id feel that way too. I am holding them to their own standards (those I speak of prior ti this post who have tried using the same text against me)

Yes, it's too bad most Christians don't take the time to understand what these scholars are saying; maybe Christians wouldn't be so bad then.

You tell them sister. They kill the witches until they need one -- like the Witch of Endor.

I'm all for finding wisdom where it can be found, but it's hard for me to accept christians as witches. It's not my own limit alone, it's their HARD limit that makes this contradiction so rediculous.

I think there is a chance for Christian witches. I am a Christian that does not believe in God or the Bible but I do understand Earthly Witches. Jesus of Nazareth is my spirit guide but he is different than the stories of the bible, therefore, I know the bible to be a suggestion of good ideas but also a tool designed to manipulate society. If the witch is within the positive energies and not destructive of souls, then Christian Witches are simply using the positive energy of the witch "Jesus" rather than solely that of the Earth.

Christians believe in the bible and follow the word of god.... or they are hypocrits. Either way. Claim whatever title you want.

yes, you are correct, of the general term Christians. I am not sure what the hell I am, but I believe in energy and the one that is always with me, is Jesus. I don't believe in a 'all mighty creator' nor do I believe in the "rules" of organized religion. I am also a witch, and when the spells need an added boost,I ask Jesus to help me funnel the energy of our star, the Sun. I do not ask for anything but strength, when spells have spun out of control in the past,it is because I didn't have control of my inner-self. When I have used spells to hurt or kill, my life seemed like a waste and I was miserable. Add a little Jesus to your spells, you will see what I mean,....seriously.

Jesus was a witch, that is why they tortured and murdered him.

As Gerald Gardner once wrote, a Christian trying to be a witch would have to deny and violate all the moral, ethical, and theological teachings of Christianity so he would be a very poor Christan. Likewise he would have to deny most of the moral and theological teaching of Witchcraft, and thus would be a poor witch. Sometimes in life you have to choose between opposites.

Agreed Dan. Man2, you are an agnostic who enjoys some aspects of witchcraft it seems. But all the same, good luck.

*sigh* where to begin with this one..... Anyone who is learned and reads this simply face palm.

^^ i also didnt see the replies. Sorry dan and magikmama. ^^

to be all of something is not leaving myself room to be some of all things, to me, a true witch has this ability. I guess, maybe witch or christian isn't the word for what I am. My point here is that I really have powers, where they coome from, I am still exploring. "Witch" and "Christian" are just words, my power is real and couldnot be definedby simple human dialects.

thank you for trying to understand my point Magick, I really don't know what the hell is going on in my life. I am scared of the repercussions of a spell that caused the death of a man named George. I have since come to understand he does not blame me for his death, so possibly a coincidence. Or possibly the spell is not meant to be known to the 'spirit world'. When I wrote the spell and performed the rites, it was to the energy of the planet, not the sun.

This happened about 13 years ago, the only negative return I experienced is that within the following months George actually became an acquaintance and not an enemy. When he died, I was shocked and guilted. The influence of Jesus into my spells was to help me from becoming what I seen as 'evil'. Once I discovered the power of his entity, it helped me develop a higher concentration of starpower. If one believes Jesus can not be used in witchcraft then one is allowing others beliefs to influence their own. Bubbles, I don't believe what organized religion(christian, witchcraft or otherwise) says, and for all I know, my Jesus is an imposter, but maybe if you use personal experience outside of the suggestions of 'learned' writings, the powers that are desired while becoming a witch, are simply the manipulation of the energy of the universe. Those who disagree either are claiming Jesus is all good or witchcraft is all bad. To me, a witch is someone who has the ability to control these powers and who is often socially persecuted for these assumed powers, good or evil is not the point to witchcraft, it is the balance. Those who read this and don't believe will have a sign of my powers in the next couple days, good or bad, your sign will be karmatic science of my witchery.

We are expressing opinions and thoughts here. There's no need for threats.

No problem bubbles. You're a sweetie.

sorry, I hate face palms, kind of rude when expressing opinions and thoughts. I will retreat to the rock from which I came and thank you for the magick insight, magickmama.

A face palm is simply a gesture of opinion. Justlike you answering a question regarding witchcraft with an omission that you think you killed someone. Remind me again how face palms are rude. I think maybe it was rude of you to kill someone. No one deserves a lose of life regardless of who they are. Im sorry but i do believe the rule of threefold. So its on you what you do. But remember it will always come back on you.

IKR, that is why I am here.thank you for the explanation

What I meant by ^^^^is: I am so lost here on Earth, I have been living beyond my corpse for decades. Your point is noted and appreciated Bubbles

No hard feelings. I understand being lonely and looking for your place in the world. Im here if you wanna talk.

Gods Bless us All!
