I've Been Married In My 20's and I Want to Marry My Boyfriend

In my early to mid 20's I got married and had 2 beautiful children. I was young and hotheaded and 'thought' I could do without a man. He had mama's boy to the 3rd degree and I had my BS with me. We divorced and it was ugly. I took time to be by myself and grow and I needed to figure out what my problems were so that I wouldn't take it into my next serious relationship. All of the above happened and I am in a committed relationship with a man that I am in love with. We have talked about marriage but not to the degree that I would like. We have been together for 15 months and I want to be proposed to! I am in my mid 30's and I want to be married to him. At first a thought about the wedding; the cake, flowers, the beautiful dress and everything that comes with a wedding. Then I realized I love him so much that I would get married in a no-lable dress, him in a tux, flowers from a supermarket and witnessess. I would even elope to someplace like Maine and stay at a bed and breakfast.I want to marry him but I am not the type to wait for 10 years! I feel as though if we are living like people who are married and we have talked about it,why should we wait for years on end? We aren't far from 40 and we go through extreme love, arguments and other things that married people do.
