t's hard to talk about cuz the relationship with my dad is kinda funny. He & I were so alike in many ways. We knew each other so well that we didn't have to call and check in with each other, we could go years (as we did) without talking. He was a good dad, without evening knowing it he taught me so much about money, life and relationships. I'm just sorry he had to go the way he did. He deserved better.

  | Posted May 25th, 2008 at 9:36AM I am so sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is so difficult. I lost my own father about a year ago. He had suffered from Alzheimer's, so over the past 10 years it was like we lost a bit more of him every day - what a horrid disease.   |
 Feeling serene | Posted May 25th, 2008 at 8:58PM I'm sorry for the loss of your dad, too. I lost my daddy in 2000, and I feel the exact way about my own father. We can never completely get over the loss of our parents and the loved ones in our life. However, we can go on living in their spirits and remembering them even in the simplest of ways like writing a story about them. |
