Always

I love picnics! Even on the rainy days we have them, we just move them to the living room instead. The kids get a kick out of it and being outside is just nice and comfortable and relaxing for us all. And you don't have to pack the traditional stuff... mix it up a bit and have fun with it. When I was about 12 we'd go out to Ft Desoto early in the morning and get there just as the sun was peeking out. We'd light up the grill and make breakfast on the beach. Eggs, bacon, biscuits and the smell of the ocean.

This week, when you get home from work and you're so tired you can't think, pack up some stuff and head outside for dinner. And if it's too cold then set up camp in the living room but turn off the TV and replace it with the radio. You can even roast marshmallows in the fireplace, which we will be doing this weekend when we make smores during our sleepover. :)

*** the pic for this group reminds me of a skirt I made in high school. I had this red top that matched nothing so I bought this red and white checkered material and made a long, straight skirt to go with it... too funny... also makes a great Halloween costume... go as a picnic and just add some plastic food and fake ants to it.***

Okay back on topic... later :)
