Stupid Freaking Passport Rules

I want to go so bad. I have no passport. And no time to get one before my vacation. It was just a last minute thing to think of doing, when all I needed was my driver's license. Then June 1st rolled around with it's lovely announcement.

I used to go on a whim. Now I need the freaking passport.

It is stupid.

I know there will be those who say it is necessary and a good thing, blah, blah, blah! It is a stupid thing and I will never change my mind about it. I wish I could just go there whenever I wanted again, without having to shell out nearly $100 to prove what my driver's license and birth certificate already say.

GRRRRR!

Hey, at least the $100 is only Canadian. It's not like you're hoing to have to spend any real money...

yes...I agree. And I probably will. Disneyland awaits probably next year or the one after. It is still stupid to need one for the U.S. If I fly everyone needs one..nice $500 touch.

I like going to the U.S. It is a nice change for a place to visit. But I really don't go enough anymore since I moved, to justify spending the money on a passport. I may get one anyway, in case I feel the whim coming on...grrr! It just really ticks me off.

I can't agree more. I want to go to a concert in Canada and live in New York State....can't go because I don't have a passport. Taking a spontaneous trip is so much fun. I'm sorry about missing out on your Montanna trip.
