This Just In

Apparently the honeybee colonies are rebounding, at least in NJ.

I just saw an article today. I hadn't known this before but it is called Colony Collapse Disorder. No one really knows what causes it but, as the name implies, it causes the whole colony to, well, collapse.

This year though things seem to be looking up. That's what people who study this are saying. New healthy young bees are doing their thing. Nectar is coming in, honey is being produced, which means that plants are getting pollinated. I feel a sense of relief.

I love when nature heals itself. It gives me hope.

Colony Collapse Disorder, finding an entire colony of bees wipped out over night. It's like a horror movie and the fact that it affects us all... very scary.
