My Small Part

I actually wanted to be a bee keeper at one point in my life so I have an affinity for bees. So when I heard that their numbers were declining I was quite sad.

Our garden is a mess. A complete and utter mess. That's not an understatement. I've been getting the urge to do something about it for a while now and have just started to look up different plants I could put there and what I could do with it in general. I heard recently that you can plant specific flowers in your garden that bees will love. So I'm going to look them up and see if they will grow in my garden. I'd love to have a bee colony in my garden as well but I don't think that's very realistic, especially when you take into account that the other members of my family don't particularly share my love of bees. So I'll just have to stick with the flowers and hope that will help even if it's just a small bit.

So many different things are pollinated with the help of the bee that I think everybody should be trying to do something to help them. It's not just honey that will suffer if we lose the bee.
