Thank you, BamPow and Underconstruction. It is truly encouraging to see that some people on here have their eyes wide open to what is going on, and feel as revolted about it as I do. Unfortunately, the situation seems to be a downward spiral.

It's disconcerting to say the least. I'm not sure what your observations have been, but I notice a lot of people complaining about the younger people on here yet it seems to be some of the older people (30+) who really seem to pull the knives out and get nasty for some reason

    Great post BamPow.

    I completely agree with you.

I am afraid this site is heading to the internet dump, fast.

The original purpose seem to have changed, and sadly the Terms of Service are not respected by members or acknowledged by EP staff.

I have been here since 2007 and I came here looking for a support site.

Many of the long time friends I have met here came to EP for the same reason.

All of us have gone thru hard times and even depression but none of them behaved in this repulsive/vicious manner to show how desperate they were inside.

There are guidelines on this site that must be respected. If not by posters at least by EP staff.

Sadly, they are ignored by both and this site has become a far cry from its original purpose.

I really hope that the EP staff is monitoring sentiments like yours and mine, because as long-time members, we're the equivalent of a loyal customer base. Putting this in pure business terms, when a business starts losing its loyal customers, it's sunk. I've seen too many of the long-time members choose to leave, and some have been very publicly clear that it's due to the venom and rancor of people who are seemingly just passing through to cause trouble. It's a shame if this site ends up in the dump, because there is nothing out there like this site used to be when it was at its best.

I hope so, too. I have also seen many great posters leaving the site tired of the constant violations of the terms of service and the lack of action from the part of EP staff. I took a break from EP in 2012. Nine months to be exact. I missed my friends, dearly. We kept in touch via e-mail but I missed our daily conversations and interesting debates. I came back in September but quite honestly it´s been a disappointment. Many of those friends, and valuable EP members are gone or no longer active, and this site has become the playground for people who do not contribute anything positive to the community and instead drive people away due to the nature of their comments and behaviour.
I like your last sentence very much: "because there is nothing out there like this site used to be when it was at its best" and I may add : not even EP itself , anymore :-(
