Reading Comments.

I have just noticed that below th 'POST' symbol at the bottom of my stories, there is a box that allows you to choose which order you want to read the comments in.
So if you click 'earliest' you can still read all your comments from first to last. Just as it should be.
It occured to me that maybe the reason EP. changed the order, was so that people who only want to read comments in isolation, can quickly find each new comment just below their story. No I can't understand why anyone would want to do that either, i'm just trying to make some sense out of the endless unnecessary changes.
The irritating part is, there were and still are, glitches in the system that EP could have more usefully spent their time putting right. Instead of creating so many more annoying changes.

Maybe they are just trying to keep themselves in work?

latest is normally on top..which is good :)

i've noticed that even when i click to see recent comments, the old ones still come up first and i don't seem able to view all story comments. *jerrica gives up*

I so wish they would give us back the page feature! With this new system we can't even go back to the previous pages to reread a comment and it doesn't work right half the time.

Too bad they don't listen to us.

Members can still choose to view comments in order of oldest to newest along with a variety of other options available under the dropdown. What we noticed was that many members were sorting by most recent instead so we made this the default.
We recognize that each member of EP uses the site differently and that why we make sure to give you options to pick and choose in which order you view your comments.

while the bug has been worked out that i can vote on story comments (thank you!) it seems that i still don't see all story comments like before.

Not sure but I think "Oldest" puts the oldest on top so they are in the order which we enjoyed for years.

Quite right cfom it does, and thank goodness.
