Really? I don't get why EP is doing that. If a logo isn't filthy, why remove it?

I was in a group about self harm... Which is fitting for me since i've struggled for a large part of my life with anorexia. Apparently the picture is offensive? Somethings are meant to be shocking. Lets call a spade a spade here... *sigh*

I think people are getting much too anal and self righteous here. Nudity is one thing but logos are being flagged because someone didn't like it. That's not right. I wonder how these people would feel if they got flagged out of spite.

I think its ridiculous that having a picture that represents a group is censored when it isn't obviously pornographic/against TOS. Yes, some things might be triggering like a group about people who were addicted to pain killers having a logo of pills but ffs that represents the group--leave it be. I think we need a Philadelphia lawyer and a bottle of whiskey to figure this one out kitten!

lol If EP didn't have enough to worry about right? Yeah I have never flagged a logo unless it was ****.

The person seems ungrateful and should have simply changed the logos, but she probably wanted to put you through this for adding logos to her groups, or she probably wanted the logos removed only and not replaced and she thought flagging them is the way.

I'm glad at least I'm not like that person; I would kindly and quietly accept logos people put on my groups, if the logos are innocent. I wonder how they knew it was you, as you said, "As it is I recieved a rather nasty message from this member as well."

I wonder. All she had to do is replace them without any fuss and it would have been fine. The childish way this was done tells me something about the maturity of this member.

I noticed this myself. But this is how EP run the site these days.

They waste time on (let's face it) trivial and pointless changes and policing, when the real issues we have are left to fall on deaf ears. You can have someone or someones story removed (or at least put in 'jail') by getting a bunch of people (or creating a heap of additional accounts which is much too easy) and flagging/ reporting it without staff looking into it. There is no control any more, just this quick fixes which aren't answering the problems this site now has.

I know as I have seen this many times. Ganging up on a member and flagging. I just don't know why my group logos were targeted. I must be missing something here. At any rate, I won't make that mistake again! It's too bad my intent was misunderstood and there was no communication. I'm pretty reasonable and the member just had to change the logos to whatever they wanted. No fuss was needed.

I am sure te reson for this is that someone dislikes the logo (for whatever reason) and flags it so it is removed, then they add the one they want. The groups I have been a part of have had nothing wrong with them (in accordance with EP's rules), but that makes no difference to staff.

you don't have to flag a logo if it is a group that you created. You can change the logo yourself if someone puts one up that you don't like. Anyone can do that to the groups they create at any time. Flagging them and insinuating that someone is a stalker or troll for putting logos on your groups that don't have one is against the rules as far as I know. It's illegal flagging for spite. I did nothing wrong and the logos I posted were withing the terms of service but she flagged things that weren't illegal and that should be addressed by EP. Her actions created unnecessary work for EP. It's bad enough that EP has to deal with so many flaggers but when members go around flagging because they choose to act like children, it makes it difficult for us all.

HA HA I just though adding logos so we don't have so many default logos was ok.
Oh well... I got a dozen notices tonight that my logos broke rules.. I'd like to know what rule that was..

I add logos all the time and I have never had any messages about them. I usually just do a Google image search and select a size of 300 x 300 and just grab any old image that pretty much fits the theme of the group.

That's what I did. I don't get the whole thing. I tried to find logos that fit the group or group feeling. All she had to do was change it to something else if she didn't like it.

Maybe once a logo is in place it can't be changed even by the group creator??

No it can be changed by the creator. That's why it's so puzzling.
