Site Revisions From 08/18

With the revisions to the PM display system, links no longer appear in the "You have a new fan!" PMs. This makes adding people far less user-friendly than it used to be.

Still, if it was done for security reasons, or for database structure evolution reasons, I'm sure people will get used to it! :)

eta: after a few more PMs, I agree with manicann. This threaded PM business is not fun. Actually, I think it is a bit not-great and inconvenient.Sorry guys!

alright! love to hear it. You know we're listening, so bring on the suggestions.

I think that the tweaks to the threaded PMs make it much easier to use! Thanks for those :)
I find that it has improved short-PMs exchanges.
The long-PM exchanges are a bit cumbersome though. This is fairly easily solved by starting a new thread, I've found.
I think overall it's now a good stepwise evolution of the PM system.

OK, we made a few changes to accommodate your thoughts... what do you think now? Every change is always a learning process-- and you are our teachers.

great thoughts. we'll fix it...
