Get Rid of the "Thumbs Down/sad Smiley" On Caption of the Day!

It's not fun anymore...

It was fine with people being able to vote for the captions if they liked them, but now it seems everyone just votes down ALL the responses so that they can get their own entry to the top!   I haven't seeen a caption of the day won with more than 1 vote in awhile now.   It also means that the newest entries are probably the ones that will win regardless of whether they are good or not because those people have less time available for other people to vote them down- and starting at 1 like we do is often enough win lately since the older entries are often negative.

Being able to do a thumbs up was fine, get rid of the negative votes.

Thank you!

Down voting on question of the day and caption of the day should now be disabled.

Hmm thanks for letting us know that this is happening. We will see if we can get it sorted out. I agree though, it doesn't sound like much fun anymore!

It's annoying... it's supposed to be a fun game, it's not anymore- I like voting for others captions even if I don't post a reply- I enjoyed going back the following day to see who won and if I picked any of the top 3. Now I often don't bother.<br />

And I'm not concerned with my points because I don't really do anything with them, but I have won the caption of the day at times in the past and it was cool to see how many other people thought my answer was good. But that also isn't the case now either - I went from 5 votes down to -4 by the end of the day yesterday, the 2 top winners had 1 vote and the third place had 0- what fun is that?
