I Want To Keep My Individuality
My individuality is very important to me. Even if I go on to have children I never want to be seen only as a mother. I'm not just someones sister, someones daughter, someones partner - I am me, a whole person on my own as I stand. I have mental health problems, but that does not mean I am the same as everyone else who has mental health problems. I'm British, I'm white, I'm Welsh, I'm short - I'm not someone who is in ONE of those groups - I'm someone who has a small part in each of those groups, those small parts of me make one whole, and that is who I am.
