There's An Ostrich In The Shed...

When I was 4 or 5, my aunt used to baby sit me and my two younger brothers while my mother worked during the day. My aunt lived in a room of a boarding house and behind this house was a locked storage shed. Naturally, being curiosity-filled kids, my brothers and I would try to see what might be inside that shed. I can remember practically begging everybody in the house to let us see what was in it, and finally, the guy who owned whatever it was told us he'd open the door, but then we'd all be killed, stomped to death by the ostrich that was in there.

Suffice it to say, we stopped going near that shed, but for years after (until I got old enough to realize the guy had been pulling our chain) I believed he had an ostrich in that shed.
