..OH the Memories!

Back in the very early Eighties, my son bought home a book of

raffle tickets to sell!..I bought the whole book and forgot all about it!

A..A couple of weeks later, "Dad, we won a computer!"

Sure enough, we not only won a computer but $100 for selling the most tickets!

The COMPUTER?

a COMMODORE 64

Nobody ever was able to show us how to use it!

My first computer was a Timex-Sinclair computer with a super large 16k RAM! I graduated to a KayPro "portable" computer with a CP/M operating system and 64k of RAM and a 10Mb HD. It handled 5.25" floppy disks along with its "immense" hard drive.
Now, I have a laptop computer with 2G of RAM and a 500G hard drive (a modification I performed) that is running Windows 7 Pro. I suspect the future computers will have Solid State Disk memory that holds multi-Terrabyte or more of memory and may use software located on servers in other places in the world (cloud software)!

So good in their day!

I had the best gaming computer ever...
