I Want to Know What Your Favorite Flower Is

I love them. Before I was displaced from my life and home from my less than stellar ex-husband, I had so many orchids. All different kinds. I have always had a green thumb with regular plants and decided to take a chance on the more exotic. I am happy to say that I did very well with them. I would take cuttings and then have twice as many and brought them to bloom. They are so interesting and the different shapes and sizes of the flowers unique. That's one of the things that I miss about my stolen life is my collection of orchids.

    I truly believe orchids are Mother Nature's most divine creation. Quirky, fun, beautiful, shocking, and lovely.

    I have a photo of an orchid in my profile and I swear it looks like Sammy Davis Jr. :-)



    I hope you can start a new garden soon.

    I am sorry you lost your orchids. I know that something like that can be as important to a person as a family pet. When one of my clients had to leave her home to go into an assisted living facility, all she cried about was her garden. She had to give up family heirlooms because there isn't any room in the rooms for much of anything. All of her furniture and most of her home decorations, had to go. But it was her garden that broke her heart.
