I understand what you're staying and have mixed feelings about this. Both my parents want to be cremated and have their ashes spread on their land. My grandparents were all cremated too....Sometimes I wish there was I place I could go to "visit" my grandma...to leave flowers or just feel near her again, but I know that isn't possible even if she were buried in the ground somewhere. At least with my parents, we can keep their land in the family and always keep that part of them after they leave this world.

exactly. I am not particularly religous, but I believe in God and I believe everything happens for a reason. I believe you get where you are going through your actions and that god doesn't care where your organic remains are. I can't really control what my kids or wife does when I am gone, so I am probably just stating a belief in my will anyhow. I am inspired by going to my grandparents stones because they lived exactly how I want to and most don't remember them...which is what they would have wanted.
