The only person that has read to me as a kid was my third grade teacher. So, my favorite book would have to be "The Black Stallion" series!

    I loved the Black Stallion too. Something about the bond between the boy and the horse appealed to me. I could imagine myself gathering seaweed to dry and feed to the massive stallion, caring for him lovingly. And him defending me, protecting me, watching over me.

    Hee hee, yes, there are tons more I like(some kids book are now in cartoon too)but this one stands out.
