What else did you read as a child?
lady Chatterleys Lover?
I was content with Enid Blyton!

It was too! I was a child when I read it :D

The old man and the sea.

Curious George.. hmmmm

Winnie the Pooh....(and Tigger too, and Robin).

I seem to remember Tikki Tikki but not the others.
I find Salmen Rushdie a bit difficult.
Does anyone like Raymond Briggs books?
The snowman
Father Christmas
The Puddle

Never read them. I was either two old or two young, not sure which. My favorite as a young child was probably Horton Hatches the Egg, but Green Eggs and Ham was a close second. By 10th college I'd graduated to fare Like Mary Poppins Comes Back. Since I'm still a child, I'll just let you know that my favorite adult children's book is Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salmen Rushdie. As a parent, my favorite book to read to my own children was Tikki Tikki Tembo, by Arlene Mosel. Tikki's full name was Tikki Tikki Tembo No Sa Rembo Chari Bari Ruchi Pip Peri Pembo. I usually shortened it to Tikki Lee.

I think my favorites are The Cat Ate My Gymsuit and Where the SideWalk Ends...James and The Giant Peach, Where The Wild Things Are..K...I guess to many favorites to choose just one ~

Nope...not read that one.

Has anyone read 'Ernest and Celestine'?
