Low Calorie Recipes

This seems to be the place, but if not I would appreciate directions toward the right group.

I am in desparate need of recipes of filling foods, good tasting, easy to make, and low calorie. I need to reduce my intake to about 2,000 calories a day, but at the same time, I would like to feel sated when I get up from the meal.

I also love rich desserts.

Salads are good, especially just before the cheesecake.

Trust me. I am doing that.

You got it. A little sticky, but we can wash up afterwards.

god that sounds awesome... I am in for some of that.

Butter, syrup, brown sugar, and sweet condensed milk. Now there is a low calorie low fat dish I can handle.
But of course, your're right Emerald, and that is the way I'm eating these days. Might not live longer but it will seem like it.

Actually, some of the best recipes I've recently found, both in low calories and carbs, yet TASTY... has been on computer Diabetic Sites!! I was searching for my father some tasteful, edible meals that would go with his medical probs. I was amazed at what IS acceptable for diabetics and DIETERS to eat, and STILL loose weight! It's not a matter of taking AWAY all the sweets, carbs, and calories... it's a matter of portion and how to make up for those rich foods by the next meal! For example, have a small slice of rich, chocolate cake for dessert! SMALL being key word! And make sure you've already filled gut with WHOLESOME, HEALTHY foods such as plenty green veggies and high protein, low fatty meat.
Of coarse, I don't like the term DIETING. NO diet is safe. They are short term, with short term effects. Then you go back to eatting regular, and gain it all back PLUS some! It's a life style CHANGE that food must become. Our most successful weightloss patients are the ones that DIDN'T cut out any food groups, but rather decreased their portions by HALF, and Increased excersize with something as low impact as Walking 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes or more!

Amen to both dishes.

Take some tender loin stakes roll them in flower and fry them golden brown in vegetable oil. OHHHHHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy
Easy and oh so good.

I recommend stir fry also. There are many vegetables that will fry up very well in a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

It all sounds great Windy. When should I be there? I'll bring the wine.

Cheeze-its are good. Are they full of fiber and low fat? If not, thats ok.

All I have been eating is cheeze-its,so I am no help!
